Frozen engravings of love

A love affair of summer

Ended in winter

Hence I engraved

The tombstone of my love

On a frozen window pane

For the passerby to notice

Some shared hope

Some told me to cope

Some consoled

Some pretended to be there

But eventually eloped

Sure I got an audience

To sulk and cry

To share the lost

Glory of my failed affection

As summer approached again,

Those marks melted away

Vaporizing the brief attention

I ever received

The physical signs of my love

Eventually faded with season

But who will see the one

Inscribed on my frozen heart!!
