From now on, I won’t complain,
Irrespective of all my pain,
Look, agony runs in my veins,
All this ache I learned to sustain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if my blood has dried,
It’s ok if for eternity I have cried,
In this space, I shall remain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if you don’t want to talk,
It’s ok if you can’t join the walk,
I will stride my life in a lonely lane,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
it’s ok you can’t return my hugs,
It’s ok if my presence shrugged,
To ask for love, I would refrain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
Keep your distance, if you must,
It’s ok if I am not the one to trust,
I understand I am not your gain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if you can’t hear me yelp,
It’s ok if you can’t come for help,
I won’t call your name, not again,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if you don’t wish to care,
Feelings you don’t want to share,
My emotions too, I shall contain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if you pretend to stay busy,
To be there for me is not so easy,
From your world, I must detain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
It’s ok if you can’t see my rubbles,
As you have more significant troubles,
My lost self I will try to regain,
From now on, I won’t complain!
━━━━━━━━◇◆◇━━━━━━━━
All the hurt runs inside my veins,
Pure agony that I learned to sustain,
Irrespective of all my pain,
I promise from now on; I won’t complain!

Thanks for reading my poem and quoting from Sir William Shakespeare Hamlet. The idea of won’t complain is to tear open the complaint, which otherwise cannot be unfolded, so you got it right and the quote suite best. Thanks

I tend to protest too much too!

This struck me as a bit sad. As if the speaker has given up and now simply accepts the unwelcomed things in their life. Maybe a realization that complaining has accomplished nothing. Or the people they have complained to seem to not care. I love the form and the powerful language. Well written, V!

You got it right Brad, the context of the poem is exactly what you mentioned. Some people try hard, but they remain unwelcomed, so they complain only to realize no one cares, then they accept and say they Wont complain, while all they are doing is to complain, the whole poem is about that. Thanks for reading and your consistent support. Take care
