Spring Memories

A naive kite in the clear skies of spring,
I soared high with my wayward dreams,
Steered by your wisdom in heights unseen,
I learnt to fly in situations that’s unforeseen.

I remember you humming a native song,
The one with you, I could never sing along,
Something about the end and new beginning,
You used to sing in praise of the graceful spring.

How particles Tyndall in the nascent sunlight,
You instilled in me a curious sight,
To see the world with a fresh perspective,
To adapt to life’s changing objectives.

The spring sunset displays a unique feature,
A gleaming shadow, a broken spectre,
Cast upon me a gift of blessing,
In the season of growth, the lovely spring.

As the infant leaves sprout into life,
Your memories remind me to try and strive,
While death and withering is part of life’s flow,
Spring shows us how to survive and grow.

The spring birds spoke to me in your voice,
That happiness will always be my choice,
To lead a life with joy and sincerity,
Handle success or failure with the same maturity.

A naive kite in the clear skies of spring,
Still tethered to you through a cosmic string,
Exploring and trying to reach upto your glory,
In the season of spring and your memories.

Dedicated to my Nana on his birth anniversary and to my sweetest, dearest , loveliest mommy. Both of you are my everything.
