Summer Rain

All Human hearts turned into scorching land,

Burns on touch, no matter where you stand,

A drizzle of emotion evaporates so quickly,

Where hope’s a mirage, not found very easily,

And all it takes is an umbrella of trust and love,

To hold a melting life before it dissolves,

But where judgment burns more than sympathy,

In a self-centric world, it is hard to find empathy.

But this long summer can’t be all that bad,

Blazing like a sun, it can’t be all that sad,

When you come to me Mother, like the summer rain,

To caress and wash away the blistering pain,

And when drenched in your grace from up above,

I feel less burnt! I sense the respite of love!

Dedicated to my sweetest, dearest, loveliest mommy! My everything!!
