Birthday Bloom

All your little dreams are in my heart’s envelope

To keep pursuing them is my life’s scope

Still waiting a fine day for them to get developed

I hope I had that much of a strength

To make them come true, to go through that length

But all I feel is shattered and alone

Ever since from this realm, you were gone

Yet today is not a day for my sad banters

I must focus on what matters

For today is the day wishes bloom

Giving me hope they are blossoming soon

So what is special about this day

Yes, it’s my dearest mother’s birthday

While I can’t see your presence today

You still find ways to come to me in some ways

Sometimes, as a distant voice of hope

Sometimes, an energy that helps me cope

Sometimes, as a memory of happy images

Sometimes, a subtle dream lasting for ages

Sometimes, as a wayward angel feather

Sometimes, as a singing wind in the weather

Sometimes, as the nascent light of the dawn

Sometimes as lucky old coins once you owned

And sometimes you are you, my mother

In flesh and bones and not just an ether

Almost tangible in my daydreams and visions

Like you never left this earthly dimension

So, I must focus on what matters

Arrange your favourite food on a platter

And then there will be cake and a birthday song

You and I together will sing along

I will decorate your space with flowers

Bathing in your love and heavenly shower

And all the God’s children will sing you a birthday song,

And keep you in our hearts where you belong

And all that I can ever gift is my eternal love

In exchange for a chance to see you up and above

But today is not the day for my sad banters

I should focus on what should matter

With your blessings, the seed of hope should bloom

And the dead dreams should rise from their graves soon

And I will keep expressing my love out loud

With the hopes of always making you proud

Today is the beginning of a new day

Because it is my lovely mother’s birthday!

Dedicated to my sweetest, dearest, loveliest mommy on her birthday. I miss you, I love you. From your son Rain Alchemist
