You have seen the mortal plane enough,
That detachment runs in your veins,
Yet when it comes to moral duties,
You remain unconditional, without refrain.
Like you, one may never know the call of the wild,
The unquenched thirst of nature’s child,
The ache of pure spiritual longing,
The unease of your inner churning.
The lesser-known giants of universal beyond,
Cycle through life and death in cosmic bond,
For one like you, who has manifested through eons,
This birth should not feel a second too long.
Yet bound in your human shell,
You’ve gone through your personal hell,
In this mundane form, you may now be constrained,
But from your spiritual path, you’ll never be abstained.
What can I say to you, from whom I learn to master life,
To sustain for now—to try and strive,
Yet not to unlisten to the call of the wild,
The ultimate quest of you as nature’s child!
“Call of the wild” is dedicated to my Mama. My best wishes on your Birthday, may you achieve your spiritual quest the way you desire in this life. From Shanu ( Rain Alchemist)
